Mindset English Academy is owned and operated by Dennis J. Dolan Jr., a highly motivated and M.Ed in TESOL qualified American educator from New York with extensive coaching experience in the U.S. and abroad.
In addition to teaching English in Japan since 2011, I also have experience teaching English to Spanish, Chinese, Korean,Taiwanese, and many other language speakers. No matter what your native language is, I can help take the next step towards becoming a fluent multilingual English speaker.

NOTE: All prices listed on this website include Japan's consumption tax for clients within Japan. For clients outside of Japan, prices are tax-exempt.
1. Mindset Advocate Plan (Basic Plan)

One 50-minute private coaching session per week.

2. Inspiration Leader Plan (Enhanced Plan)

One 50-minute private coaching session per week with options to create or join group lessons.

Pricing: ¥30,000 per month, with the option to apply your balance towards creating or joining a group.

3. Motivation Trailblazer Plan (Premium Plan)

Two 50-minute private coaching sessions per week.
Tailored progress reports every 4 sessions to measure and celebrate your achievements.

Onboarding Process
1. Free Introductory Lesson:
All new clients begin with a complimentary introductory lesson to experience Mindset's English Academy's coaching style and discuss your vision for personal and professional development.
2. Needs Assessment:
During the free lesson, we will conduct a needs assessment to understand your unique learning requirements, preferences, and objectives.
This ensures your coaching plan is tailored to your individual needs.
3. Create Personalized Coaching Goals:
After the introductory lesson, we will develop a customized coaching plan based on your assessment, which will include the frequency of sessions and areas of focus.
4. Complete Our "Mindset Shift" Introductory Course
All Mindset English Academy's coaching sessions will be conducted online using Skype, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate your lifestyle.
After the first free lesson, all new clients will be invited to join our one month “Mindset Shift” introductory course to try out our coaching service.
5. Join Your Customized Coaching Plan
After successful participation in the one month “Mindset Shift” introductory course, clients can join one of Mindset English Academy's customized coaching plans.

Special Information Regarding The Inspiration Leader and Community Champion Plans
Group Lesson Overview
Group lessons are a collaborative and cost-effective way to improve your English Skills. Clients can form their own groups or join existing groups based on avaiability and mutual agreement. Group lessons are structured to ensure a balance of affordability, scheduling flexibility, and effective learning outcomes.
Pricing Stucture By Group SIze
The following outlines the rates for once a week group sessions:
2 Client Group - 5,000 yen per session per client - total 20,000 yen monthly fee per client
3 Client Group - 4,000 yen per session per client - total 16,000 yen monthly fee per client
4 Client Group - 3,000 yen per session per client - total 12,000 yen monthly fee per client
5 Client Group - 2,500 yen per session per client - total 10,000 yen monthly fee per client
Transitioning Between Group Sizes
When a new member joins an existing group, all members must agree to the change.
The renewal period will restart on the first session of the new group based on the group's new size and pricing structure.
Balances from each client's previous plan will be applied towards the new renewal fee.
Commitment and Agreement
All group members must agree to the group terms, pricing, and renewal commitments.
This ensures smooth transitions and consistent learning progress.
Client Responsibilities
Group Formation:
Clients forming a new group must ensure all members agree to the group terms, pricing, and renewal commitments.
Work with the instructor to confirm a mutually acceptable schedule.
Waitlist and Matching:
Clients who join the Inspiration Leader Plan and groups enrolled in the Community Champion plan can join the matching wait list.
When matched, the new group pricing will be recalculated and applied starting from the first new group session.
How Group Pricing is Recalculated
When a new member is invited to join a group, the new group pricing we be recalculated for each member as follows:
2 Client Groups: 20,000 yen per client per month, 2 month renewel (8 sessions)
3 Client Groups: 16,000 yen per client per month, 2 month renewal (8 sessions)
4 Client Groups: 12,000 yen per client per month, 2 month renewal (8 sessions)
5 Client Group: 10,000 yen per client per month, 3 month renewal (12 sessions)
With the addition of a new group member each client in the group can benifit from lower costs per session, improved scheduling stability, and enhanced group cohesion and learning outcomes.
Payment Methods:
Payments for coaching services and additional products can be made securely through the website using payment methods such as credit cards (via stripe), direct bank transfers, PayPal, or Wise.
Service Details
The first session for each client will begin at the agreed upon time after Mindset English Academy receives the payment for their customized coaching services.
Product Details
All digital products will be available after receipt of payment.
Policies regarding Cancelations, Rescheduling, and Refunds
Cancellation and Rescheduling of a Coaching Session:
Mindset English Academy has created fair policies regarding cancellations and rescheduling.
Although it is important to choose and book your best coaching time to avoid cancellations and rescheduling, Mindset English Academy realizes that occasionally cancellations can't be avoided.
In this case, please email Mindset English Academy at least 24 hours before your next session to cancel that session and start the rescheduling process.
The cancelled coaching session can then be rescheduled within the next month of service based on availability and mutual agreement.
Any last minute cancellations within 24 hours of the next session are considered booked and paid for. These kind of last minute cancelations are discouraged as they may not be rescheduled.
In the case of an emergency, each new client will receive one bonus rescheduling credit upon onboarding, which can then be used at any time to reschedule a missed coaching session in cases of emergency without notice.
To use your rescheduling credits in cases of emergency, simply email Mindset English Academy at your earliest convenience, give a short explanation of your emergency absence, provide your personalized rescheduling credit code word, and request to start rescheduling for the next available session.
One rescheduling credit per client will automatically be renewed after completion of 4 coaching sessions with good attendance and participation. Rescheduling credits can also be purchased in Mindset's online store.
Rescheduling credits will be given at the time of onboarding, renewed in monthly progress reports in the case of good attendance and participation, or after purchasing a rescheduling credit in the Mindset online shop.
For those clients who know they will need more flexibility with their coaching schedule, I recommend joining Mindset English Academy's "Inspiration Leader" plan which offers extra scheduling flexability up front.
Service and Product Refund Policy:
All sales are final. Mindset English Academy can not offer refunds for coaching plans or products once payment has been received.
However, Mindset English Academy will make an honest effort to negotiate the terms of service via email in the case of any unforeseen circumstances that may arise.
For example, in a case where the client has to temporarily stop using Mindset English Academy's service for any reason for an unknown period of time after purchasing a coaching plan, their service will be put on pause, and may be resumed up to 6 months in the future based on availability, the client's account balance, and mutual agreement.
All clients must be aware that joining a coaching plan is an important commitment for their personal improvement and professional growth, both for the client and for Mindset English Academy. This is one reason Mindset English Academy offers a free initial lesson, in addition to the 'Mindset Shift' introductory coaching course, in order to help clients try our service without making any major coaching plan commitments initially.
